Add my vote to North Wales as a venue! :) I haven't been there for many many years, but as Nick says, lots of magazines base their car tests around those roads (EVO in particular) and the photos always look inspiring. Also, it's perhaps a little easier for us Southern boys to get to. I was planning ...

Looks very nice! Hope you enjoy it! I've got an A in the same colour - Ruby Red I think?

Congrats!

Interesting: why do you think you are treated like a leper? For me the only thing keeping me in PCGB is the fact I would like to add another Porsche to the garage, and so it's one of the best ways to find good cars. Of course I'd use DDK as well, but it helps to have access to PCGB classifieds too. ...

912UK - likewise. I kinda feel sorry for those who arranged it as well. I'm sure they gave up a lot of their time for this, and I do suspect a fair bit of the blame lies with Ragley Hall.

Wish I'd been to the Van Fest at Malvern instead! They seemed like they had a better day!

Morning all! So glad to see these comments, because I worried I was becoming a bit of a Victor Meldrew. We arrived at the BP station one mile from Ragley Hall at 10:15am, and then spent anpither hour crawling in. Ridiculous, and not really how you want to treat a 1958 car - one hour of stop-go. :rol...

Glad to see that reply Nick! I remember a 911 you had in from US earlier this year that I enquired about, and I think you told me it had to be restored back to some garish pink colour!

James - thanks. Someone here pointed me to Paul @ PRS356 - he suggested exactly what you and Hot66 have said, so it's off to see him next week for a (hopefully) quick fix! May have to see what sports exhausts he has in stock while I'm there.... :) Hot66 - my father-in-law had one and loved it. I've ...

Hot66 - many thanks. I had wondered about fuel pipes as well. The car has come in from California so I'm guessing the hot/ dry weather has made any rubbers/ pipes very brittle and prone to leaking smells. I'm going to take this as my first course of action - it won't hurt to replace them all anyway....

Carbs is a good place to start I guess - they were re-built just before I took collection of the car, but I also wonder if the mixture is running a bit rich? I guess that would add to the smell. I'm booking it in for some work over Autumn, but want something quick and easy to fix the smell for now. ...

Smelly old thing...

Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone on here has experienced what I'm gogin through now, and how they dealt with it: my 356A gets parked up in the garage each evening, but the garage is joined to the house, so basically I end up with a smell of petrol in the utility room, and also through to the kitchen ...

Morning all! Not sure who made it down there, but it was a great day out. Nick Moss - were you there in the green 2.4S you previously restored for a customer? I saw that there - stunning. Some lovely cars on display. Although the theme was Deutsche Marques it really did look more like a Porsche disp...
