Re: Tensioners tensioners tensioners
erm.... my tensioners do not match anything on here or google - they look like the standard spring loaded ones with the arm and cylinder to hold the spring but mine are manually adjustable with 2 black bolts on the side to clamp the shaft - any ideas?

Re: Wiring looms
Hello, my existing engine loom is looking a bit worse for wear after removal. Are there any recommended suppliers or does anybody make them up please?

Re: MFI setup, rebuild and Calibration
Whilst my engine is out I may as well get my MFI refurbished. Did you get any further with this Tim or is it Tower Bridge Diesel or another?

Re: Yep another Engine Rebuild I think?
Gents, many thanks for all the great replies and in depth advice. Just wanted to let you know I am not ignoring you and will take it all on board but as of right now I am a victim of the Carillion CRIME and need to focus on that but I will return.
Many thanks again, Jason

Re: Yep another Engine Rebuild I think?
Thank you. Engine out now as compression figures all low, best was 100 worst 50!
I seem to recall reading that there was a bad batch of OEM head gaskets going around when I had it rebuilt - would this make sense?
O and gutted, honestly thought it would be loose studs

Yep another Engine Rebuild I think?
Hello, I need a little help I think. I have a US spec 1972 911 T/E mfi, I had the engine rebuilt at Bob Watson's in 2009 (9000miles ago) with E cams, barrels etc. Last spring it went in for an MOT and the mechanic called me up as there were serious oil leaks and a strange mechanical tick every now a...

Re: Another Coil Question
Mick Many thanks for the information, I have to be honest I have not seen anything written about the secondary ohms before only the primary. However, I can tell you that the silver Brazilian coils are c*** from bitter experiance! Also the 3.2 coil works if you need a cheap spare for the roadside. Ag...

Another Coil Question

I have been running a black Bosch coil 0221 118 322 (think its a 3.2) on my 1972 2.4T/e for a few years without any obvious problems. However, reading the posts here I should hav...

Re: Mystery coil
Ive been running the following black Bosch coil 0221 118 322 (think its a 3.2) for years without problems. Reading the posts here I should have the 0221 121 001. Would it cause any trouble on my standard 2.4T CDI electrics?
