No new Porsche unfortunately...:( Fellow member RustBucket pointed out your ebay listing and link to the rebuild images. As sad as I was to let the car go, it's good to know that it's had the attention it deserved. The car definitely had character and a real desire to get out on the road. Some cars ...

I've finally been able to return to the forum, from my Porsche dark place, after selling my 356    Kalvin, you've done an absolutely superb job of restoring that car. I would have loved to have kept it, but the body work was beyond me. Great work. P.S. I see you kept the steering whe...

That's a lot of really nice car for that money.

Looks like another reluctant sale. Must be something in the Yorkshire water.

Cheers,
that was my original plan.

The cost of the partial restoration is doable and to be honest part of me would really look forward to having the car in that kind of condition. But it would be tight, I'm waiting for the usual end of year chat with my boss.

Wish me luck Part 2 is this Thursday. Failed on about £850 worth of welding which has now been done by an expert, so I assume it's going to pass this time. This will give me another summer to decide whether I'm going to keep it or not. I've been told it could really do with a partial restoration to ...

Wish me luck.

356c goes in for service and MOT next week. Fingers crossed. It starts first time, but is getting in desperate need of some cosmetic TLC. This is the first time I've taken it to a specialist for a service etc. Rustbucket... if it makes it through I'll bring it with me to Bristol, perhaps you'll give...

Re: How many layers of paint?!!!!

Ok I stripped my bonnet of paint over the weekend. I counted seven different paint schemes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who can beat that ? INterestingly- the original paint was still on- and remained untouched by chemical stripper............. Well let's hope it was well protected under that rainbow for...
