Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
. Spent what seemed like ages (when you're lying upside down poking around under the dash) tracing & removing all of the non-original wiring relating to the 'professionally installed' Cobra alarm/immobiliser & redundant radio harness. Even though the alarm was fitted by an approved installer...

. Almost certainly a scam in my opinion - Tuxedo (the manufacturer based in the US) state on their website: " Tuxedo Distributors LLC does not sell products directly to consumers. Numerous fraudulent websites have emerged claiming to sell our products. Before making any unverified purchases, pl...

That looks like a Moto-Lita wheel & boss - the horn push is an 'interference fit'.
Use a thin bladed knife between the horn push & the boss & gently lever it up/out working your way gradually around the circumference.

Re: 1971 Burgundy 911T
. On investigating why the oil level gauge wasn't working correctly I found that the electrical wires for the sender unit in the oil tank weren't connected - they were zip-tied up inside the osr bumper. As is often the case, the oil tank was covered in a thick layer of oily grime so I set about scra...

Re: Road Tripping to the Pyrenees
. Looks/sounds like a great trip. I have similar memories relating to Andorra, although it was a long (~40 yrs !) time ago & I was driving something a lot more sedate (a Renault 4 van). There was a massive queue of traffic in the steep climb up to Andorra with most of the vehicles just stocking ...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
... I think I'd tire of a fully roll caged car with harnesses, fire extinguishers etc., highly strung engine, and deafening exhaust, for road use. Sounds ideal to me ! The most enjoyment I get from driving a car is one that has no creature comforts (apart from a comfortable/supportive seat) & d...

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Andy, I notice yours has had a 'buttress change' since you owned it... Yes - surprised at that because the car was a very rare early version that several other Montecarlo owners told me didn't exist - a RHD model with 'solid' buttresses. As for the driving experience, I wasn't impressed (although t...
