Chris - you don't need to look specifically for a 2.4S crank. By the time the 2.4 models were introduced all models (T/E/S) used the same crank.

The parts to rebuild the master cylinder are available from the usual places (Roger Bray sells it for ~£60) but I think the last time I bought a new master cylinder it was ~£90 so decided this was the better option.

I think I bought the m/cylinder from Eurocar Parts.

Or you could cut a circle (very slightly larger in diameter than the decal) from 'Librafilm' (sticky-back plastic as used to cover the outer jackets of library books) & apply it over the decal.

Are you sure it is an original decal ?

Exhaust looks to be home-made using a couple of cherry bombs.

A pm is what it says - a private message.

If you choose to disbelieve what I have found from personal experience that's up to you - I have nothing to gain from my statement.

No info - just personal experience.

I have had 30-40 914/4 & 914/6 steering wheels over the past couple of years & each one was subsequently fitted to a 911.

All of the 380mm 914 & 914/6 wheels have the same splines - the difference is that the 914/4 wheels require the modifications in my pm whereas the 914/6 will bolt straight on without any modifications.

A fairly simple/straightforward job although the silencer is quite heavy to manoeuvre into place whilst lying on your back - remove the central rear (number plate) panel to improve access.

I use std unleaded - no additives. Others swear by Optimax, etc but I've not found it makes any difference to performance or fuel consumption.

Try Aon for insurance - if you do a search here you'll get lots of info on insurance/petrol/oil/etc.

Any pictures of your car ?

Yes - the splines are the same but there are a number of subtle differences between the 400mm & 380mm wheels & some (simple) modifications are necessary to fit the smaller wheel to a 911...
