Re: So, did we all vote

Bootsy - I did take it as tongue in cheek - although given the DDK way I wasn't entirely sure. Sorry, i should have responded. I have the greatest respect for what you have created here which is why I'm all the more disappointed at the some of the reactions on this thread. I'll continue to lurk if I...

Re: So, did we all vote

PS - I would love to hear the other side of it from someone who voted leave as to their reasons for doing so, without prejudice or agenda. I will endeavour to do this when I have more time but my view is largely based on objections to the unaccountable, profligate and power grabbing monolith that t...

Re: So, did we all vote

I seem to be one of the few 'Leavers' on here but I'm probably not the only one who appreciates the calm and measured way this most contentious of subjects is being discussed. I wouldn't be surprised if Bootsy's finger is constantly twitching over the 'Thread Delete' button but so far we've kept it ...

Re: So, did we all vote

OK Brendan fair enough.

But.......I still don't like using bookies odds as a guide because the betting influences the odds and the odds then influence the betting ..............ad infinitum. So how valid are they then ?

Your turn

Re: So, did we all vote

Yup I was there at 7.10, I'm Out but I suspect the result will be In. Liz Hurley offering to drop the cushion if the result is Leave was not a factor. https://twitter.com/ElizabethHurley/status/745605008012546048/photo/1 If you want an idea of the outcome don't look at the polls, look at the betting...

Re: Very O/T: Trailer tent advice...

Go for it - we had one for a while and had fun with it - a lot less of the 'where does this bit go' like you get with normal tents. Some of them are pretty slick the way they unfold - they almost erect themselves. Parking to 'brew up' time is usually good because when you undo the first straps/clips...

Re: Suggestions for another car, please

What about a Mazzer ? Lots of choice below £20k, lots of passion and probably lots of problems too. But still .....phwoar eh ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-Maserati-3200-3-2-GT-2dr-/272168441449?hash=item3f5e80d669:g:DM0AAOSwyjBW5Xxe http://i64.tinypic.com/20t1ff6.jpg Oh sorry - too new. Re: Through bonnet fuel filler

Sladey, Tank has been out for a week now so no fumes left... I would be amazed if any sensible metal worker would go near that with something hot until it's been empty and venting for ........months ? ...... more .......? A week is nothing. Fill it with water and stay nervous. I'll be doing the sam...

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

At the moment they only make an equivalent of a Ford Mondeo  Excuse me ? I have no connection to Tesla but I can't let that go - a 7 series Beemer or a Jag would be a much fairer comparison to the Model S in looks, size, build quality, performance - and price. Bootiful. IMHO Edit - sorry I g...

If you've got a vernier it would be interesting to check the thread length and the total length of the nipple compared with the depth of the hole in the caliper.

Re: I'm no expert but this ad seems weird to me

I've posted a link to the ad on 914world - I'm sure they'll all be chuckling at 'those dumb Brits' but it would be interesting to know the car's Californian history. You can tell it really is a turbo 'cos it shows the badges  but they're not fixed on. Sure there's a logical explanation. ...
