I do love a Deltic! I had them on HMS Atherstone. Brilliant noise when they started up or more power was called for. Incredibly smooth but had a tendancy to cover the upper deck in soot! I think they are gradually being phased out in the RN with Cat engines.

I read that the Rolls weighed over 3.5 tonnes which coupled with the weight of the trailer would have put it well over the towing capacity of the P38. Expensive mistake to make (unless he is well insured).

Ouch!!! Although at first I thought the damage was just battle scars from rallying!

I'm actually surprised there isnt more damage!

the other option is buy something like an old motorbike with a chicken-chaser engine (terrot springs to mind) and swap it.. ..again no one will EVER know :lol: That might not be such a crazy idea as I don't think you would have to go through the wholre type approval process for a change of engine. ...
