Cigar Lighter trickle charger

Hi, i'm looking to purchase a trickle charger that runs via the cigar lighter for my 1970 911s. I understand that the cigar lighter must not work on the ignition circuit otherwise the charger will fry the ignition. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of using these and if they were effective....

I have lent mine many times to my local OPC and it always comes back very nicely valeted and with a full tank of gas.
I wouldn't give it a second thought.............

Hi Andrew,
i changed mine to inertia about 12 years ago but they were fixed, front only, grey in colour and with chrome buckles. They would also guillotine you if you were to hit anything at over 30mph :lol:

Mark,
the halfords and other auto centre sticky pads are rubbish but if you go to a windscreen place they will give you some for free normally - and their's seem to have a lot more stick!! I stuck mine on approx 5 years ago and it's still there.
