Rich (Turbo Thomas) is indeed someone you need to chat to. Good mate of mine and only lives round the corner. My 914 is having a new full system in Polished Stainless over the winter period. Good luck with the conversions , be intresting to see how quick your cars end up.

I'd go T4. I've run alot of tuned T1 stuff but the 2056cc T4 on 44's in my 914 is awesome. Not a full race motor but alot of head work , balanced etc. Fit a decent cam , headwork and you have a well pokey motor thats way stronger than a T1 and more fun to drive.
