Re: 000 Magazine.....
I looked at it, would probably spring the $250 for the subs, but at $350 for the internationally shipped version, it's getting pricey when such a significant slice of the fee is gone in just getting it to me. Whether it will survive and are there too many Porsche mags already? Who knows? They are cl...

Porsche stuff to check out in los Angeles?
I'll be in Los Angeles for a week shortly and I'll have a couple of days free. Does anyone have any tips on classic Porsche stuff to look for or any regular meet ups that might be worth seeking out? I know that Rod Emory's California shop isn't too far away, might try and drop in there. Any suggesti...

Re: Porsche Klassik magazine ???
I stumbled across it in WH Smith. A German magazine, so the rather 'literal' translation is kind of quaint in places, but the quality of the photography and reproduction is pretty good. Nice feature about driving a G series Speedster up the Timmelsjoch Alpine pass. I downloaded the iPad app, but the...

Re: Race Retro (pics)
Neil my comments on the grey Targa are on page two How much???? Bloody hell. I almost felt sorry for the poor thing. Inside the engine bay, you could see that it had once been a light green metallic. That would be a lovely colour for it if you had a good £6k to spend on paintwork. There's some seri...

Re: Two interesting 911s on the market in Switzerland
If the car was originally from Germany and only went to Switzerland a few years ago, I'd say you'd have a strong argument that it's an EU car returning home. Does it still have the German 'Brief? And has it been cancelled / corner cut off? If you have that, plus some other evidence of it's previous ...

Beetle Super Saloon Racer Bodywork Stolen
Some of you may remember the Beetle Super Sallon with Chevrolet power from the 1970's. I wrote about is here: http://www.historicracer.com/features/beetle-chevrolet-super-saloon-restored/ Lest night, the original bodywork and wheels were stolen from a farm in Lancashire. If you could spread the word...

Re: Mike Moore
Brilliant work, Mike. Always feel humbled when I see great conflict photography. There was a superb TV doumentary on McCullin recently. He hit the nail on the head when he said that the reason why great images like this aren't published any more is because the paper's owners don't think companies wi...

Re: Compomotive goes bust
Sad news. A popular name on the side of many a race and rally car.
Just at a time when British manufacturing seems to be coming back. Hope something might rise from the ashes.

Re: Brittany Ferries - crossing for Classic Le Mans 2014
I've been going to do it for years. This far our I should have no excuse! Do I monitor this thread for details of the group's travel / 1st Tickets booking, or will there be a separate thread for it?
