HI 911hillclimber try changing the carbide tips for a silver one for Ally' and lighter cuts, or turn the one you have in now over, or have you used that side all ready, or some decent insurts, mybe a look hear https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdLtZLZZQz8 on tooling/speeds your next project after this...

what year is the box and is it a Ally case box or Mag

I take it you have it in bits to work out the ratios ?

HI has the box a Std 7:31 CWP, if so Approx ratio speed due to tyre size Max speed to 7.000 RPM 1st A(Std) 38.4 MPH 2nd D 54.3 MPH 3rd I 76.6 MPH 4th O 97.6 MPH 5th T 118.8 MPH that is with a MAX of 7.000 RPM, with the ratio change around the 5.000 rpm mark for 1st >2nd and 2nd >3rd, rest are above ...

that would be the 4 speed box, with 1st next to Rev, not below Rev as the 5 speed

is the box a Ally or Mag case, as the out-put shafts are not the same, the Ally case has a date stamp/casting near the oil filler plug

gear set 25:26 PQ part No' 915 302 904 20 in stock with Porsche for £714.88 + vat, or I have S/H set for £350

Hi Roger I would take it you have a surface plate then or use the mill bed, put some 1,000 wet/dry and WD40 on it, then rub the face of the manifold across it 3 time and check for hi spots, I think you will find you may have to turn it over and as you have a mill, a light fly cut should do the trick...

HI Roger are the flange faces FLAT to start with, as most of the throttle body's I have come across are not and you will chase air leaks with the screws/rods and ?, also to the point of been cracked due to over tightning/lack of support, all the ROAD throttle body's have the bushes fitted and never ...

dont forget to strip the rear hub and check the gear wheels inside, I take it there is still 4 gears in there, or has some one swaped out the rear wheel for a 3 speed, the pawl springs usualy rust away and from what I remember there are 2 or 4 in there, or should be

HI Peter I take it you are looking for the ZF to fit in the 915 box for the car you have, I would remove the drive flange from you car and check the splines, if you have corse splings you will need to find some LSD flanges first, 4 bolt 2 dowel and then look for a LSD as the shafts are few and far b...
