Re: Interesting project

I knew that car years (30/35?) ago when David Lees lived in Sanderstead round the corner from my parents. He always had interesting cars on his drive. Parr used to be in Old Coulsdon then.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Fitted my period Momo Prototipo, solid hub and Momo Porsche crest horn button which I’ve been um-ing and ah-ing about fitting since I got my S. Question is: stainless steel or black bolts (I have both)? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220912/d5576819923eddc47da6906856333063.jpg When searching fo...

Re: 67 912 “Scruffy B*stard”

The 'to do list' is getting shorter and shorter - you'll soon be spinning round in it.

Having seen the car in the flesh would say that it's got just the right amount of genuine patina - that well used look, and you're doing a nice job of maintaining the theme.

4 x 130mm wheels

Calling all the 914 and air cooled VW owners who may have some wheels lurking at the back of the shed - I am looking for a set of wheels for my son's early VW fastback. Must be 4 x 130mm pcd, 15" and 'interesting'. ATS Classics, Dan Gurneys, slot mags - anything considered. https://live.staticf...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

I have one of those, to fit when I'm in there at some point. Plus I had the upgraded bolt. Does that trunnion go into the hoop on the transmission side cover? My hoop is almost completely worn off so I plan to make a steel flange to insert under two of the cover bolts. Sent from my SM-G988B using T...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

It's a rare occurance but I have actually had 2 Porsche related experiences today! I received in the post from Jim Tidwell in California one of his trick aluminium 'Clutch cable trunions' for the cable on the 1970 gearboxes which are meant to be far superior to the standard nylon part. https://www.e...

Who did you use Ralph - Mick Beakhouse ?

Hi Andy,

I had Marco Warren from Juarez Fabrication in Lancing, West Sussex punch them. Superfast turn round, nice guy into Hot Rods and reasonably priced too.
