Re: Sewing Club
Hey Rob, check that the thread is pulled in-between the two plates, and not running around the outside.
A walking foot machine would be a lot better for what you're trying to do.

Re: Abu Dhabi GP
First time I have seen that suggested. I like it.
It would definitely clear things up, and negate any argument that Hamilton was robbed.

Re: Abu Dhabi GP
All this hinting at retirement because it didn't go their way for once strikes me more as being the "I not playing anymore and I'm taking the ball home" attitude.

Re: Abu Dhabi GP
Interesting how polarised this is, as I completely agree with Knapmann's summary. Lewis really had the run of the green all year, without which Max would have had it won earlier. I also wonder how controversial it would have seemed had we not been able to hear Masi's faffing around, and also the com...

Re: Abu Dhabi GP
There is an argument that they should have all been let through, and yes its a fair point, but it in no way would have affected the end result. The problem isn’t just that the rule says all cars should be let through, the rule also says the safety car should stay out another lap, which it didn’t. M...

Re: Abu Dhabi GP
Lewis scored 25 points in Brazil, so not sure what Max got away with there? The incident on lap 48 was just hard racing, and I doubt that Hamilton would have made the corner. Hamilton has no qualms in pushing the other driver wide if he has the inside line. Lewis was also gifted a net points gain in...

Re: Abu Dhabi GP
The right man won. If Lewis hadn't taken Max off at Silverstone, and Bottas (via Norris) hadn't taken him out of play at Hungary then he'd have won before this race anyway. In this race Lewis could have pitted and had new tires but mecerdes threw the dice that the race would be finished under the sa...

So enjoyed watching that Graham.
I was really willing you on at the overtakes.

Re: Really OT: heavy duty sewing!
Should anyone on the south coast need the same or similar help feel free to get in touch with me. We make sails and covers for boats so have suitable machines. We also do a bit of upholstery, and have recently recovered my Karmann Ghia seats, in leather. Antony https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51...

Re: Porsche to VW question
Thanks for the replies.
From a little further research you're both spot on. The later post 73 VWs used a 18mm diameter fine spline column which was also used in several Porsches. As mine is pre 73 they won't fit.
