I’ve done Bernina twice, alfa and 911, you’ll be fine jump in and go - see you there - top tip - no hotel breakfast, up early to be at the top for sunrise - you won’t regret it.

I took to portsmouth to Santander ferry, then drove the n 260 - great drive, very reasonable top quality hotels (on spanish side) - highly recommended, look at map depending on trip duration for stop offs.
