I fitted Bilsteins which have adjustable height on the back but they still don't take it up high enough. Personally I don't think they've even taken it back up to stock height, eve, on their highest setting (contrary to what the Pelican parts guy told me  ). It seems that I'm trying to go agai...

Who's doing your cage fella? What spec is it being done to? A guy called Shaun O'Gorman 07710 961627 or 01686 411096, he does bodyshell prep and fabrication for many rally teams. Rollcages are his speciality e.g. he did a superb custom cage for my roof chopped bug. The cage he's put in the 914 is H...

I phoned around a couple of places in the UK but all seemed a bit pricey so took advantage of the £ to $ rate and ordered them up from Pelican - £40 for 2 including postage. Pretty good deal I thought.

Guys... I took the gearbox mounts off tonight and sure enough they're virtually split into 2 (both of them). So where can I get some replacements from at a good (i.e. cheap) price. The cars a 1973 914 which came out the factory in Jan of that year.

Violent judder from engine/gearbox when setting off in first

Heeeyulp... :? I've replaced the front engine mounts which were indeed completely sheared in 2 but now the problem still persists (although not as bad). The 2 next things to check would be the rear gearbox mounts and the clutch (unless there's someting else I'm missing..): RE: Rear gearbox mounts: W...

I was travelling at silly speeds in the opposite direction at the time but I reckon that could be it. First time I've seen that car, has it been in the UK for long? Where does the guy race? and in what? (rally or circuit), those spots look like they're mounted a bit too far back to me.

Orange 914 with spotlights on bonnet.... who's?

Coming down the M1 today bout midday spotted an orange 914 going north round about Milton Keynes (I think). Looked like it was race prepped. Had mounted spotlights on the bonnet. Any ideas who's this is? looked pretty cool would be interested to find out more.
