You have to name it Heinz (being both German sounding and looking like a baked bean!)
I actually nicknames my car 'The Bean' which is along the same lines

The ethanol does nasty things to rubber fuel lines, fuel pumps, carb gaskets and the like.
I agree with Bruce on this - it's 95RON super unleaded for me

Another work of art by Bruce and the team at Sportwagen. I think he may have been restoring my one at the same time! http://s1072.photobucket.com/albums/w378/Steve_Joslin/?action=view&current=Bean1.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/w378/Steve_Joslin/Bean1.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/a...

Dave,

How did you get on with the re-upholstery contacts? I'm currently searching for a good company to carry out the re-trim on my '58 Coupe.

Did you mention that you had bought covers etc from autos international?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting a reply, I'm looking into a few chroming companies one in East Sussex and another who SportWagen use for their projects.

I'll let you know how I get on and will post pictures in the near future.

Regards

Steve Joslin

PS the gearbox is still holding up!

Re-Chroming

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest a really good reliable place to send parts from my '58 A Coupe to be re-chromed? The car currently has the original chrome which is starting to show its age (basically down to the brass in a lot of areas!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Steve
